Junk Food Week
As many of you know our family has been eating healthy and losing weight for the last 8-10 months. When I’m on my period I have a hard time eating good, but I stick to it for the most part. I cheat a little, but nothing more than a chocolate bar or two.
This week I’ve been on my cycle and just jumped right off that wagon. I decided I didn’t want to eat good, I wanted to eat whatever I was craving. So I had a lot of chocolate, cookies, bread, pasta you name it. I still had my green drink for breakfast (which I think is what kept me from gaining 10 pounds this week.)
This morning when I woke up I was still so tired. I felt really “blah” too. Both the boys were so cranky today, they would just cry and whine for no reason (they also had junk food right along with me this week.)
After having spaghetti for lunch I felt really heavy, and full…in a bad way. So I went to the store and loaded up on fruits and veggies. When I got home I cut up pears for the boys and prepared a mango for myself. I felt much better after that.
I think it’s good to have a junk week from time to time so you can remember how horrible and icky all that stuff is.

I’ve been really blah this week too and for the same reason. For some reason I haven’t wanted to touch a fruit or vegetable and look for sugar to perk me up. Of course then I suffer later….K, I’m going to get off my “junk food week” too.
Does anyone else have any experience with this?
